Elizabeth Ransom M.D.

Elizabeth Ransom MD, FACS is a seasoned healthcare executive with extensive experience in clinical leadership. Currently serving as Chief Medical Officer for Providence's Central Division since March 2022, Elizabeth oversees medical and clinical staff alignment, provider engagement, and operations across various care settings. Previous roles include Executive Vice President and Chief Physician Executive at Baptist Health, where responsibilities encompassed the management of a multi-facility healthcare system, and Executive Vice President at Texas Health Resources, leading clinical operations for a network of hospitals and physicians. Elizabeth's leadership journey began at Henry Ford Health System, where important positions included Vice Chair of the Board of Governors and Residency Program Director for the Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. Elizabeth holds a Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University and advanced training in clinical effectiveness from Harvard University, alongside a Bachelor of Science from McGill University.
