Reconstructive Foot And Ankle Fellow at St. Mary's General Hospital

HyunJi Boo is currently a Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Fellow at St. Mary's General Hospital since August 2023, following a residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital from June 2019 to June 2023 where training focused on PMSR/RRA at a Level 1 Trauma Center. Prior experience includes a research internship at Comprehensive Psychiatric Resources in 2013, where literature research on food addiction and eating disorders was conducted, and a caregiver role at Inter-Generations Geriatric Care Management from 2009 to 2013, providing medical and emotional support for elderly clients. Additionally, HyunJi worked as an Americorps Therapeutic Music/Residential Counselor at Wediko Children's Services and was involved in undergraduate research at The Dent Lab, where investigations into acetylcholine gated chloride channels in C. elegans took place. Academically, HyunJi earned a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine and a Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University in Cell Biology and Anatomy, complemented by studies in World Religions.
