Gayle Shearer

Gayle Shearer has extensive experience in library management and engineering, currently serving as the Library Ministry Coordinator at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church since July 2015. In this role, Gayle oversees the library collection, manages the database of materials, coordinates volunteer efforts, and leads children's Story Time, along with budget oversight and fundraising activities. Prior to this, Gayle spent 30 years at Smith Services, a Schlumberger Company, as an Engineer responsible for the design and support of downhole oilfield drilling tools. Previous roles include serving as a Drafter at Hydril and Aspen Manufacturing Inc., where documentation for tubular divisions and HVAC systems was developed. Gayle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology with a focus on Computer Aided Design from the University of Houston and has education from Lone Star College.
