Donnchadh Whelan

Donnchadh Whelan possesses extensive experience in the healthcare sector, currently serving as the Director of Quality Safety & Risk at St Michael's House since June 2024. Previously, Whelan held the position of Operational Lead for the Integrated Care Programme for Older Persons at the Health Service Executive from September 2021 to June 2024. Other significant roles include National Services Manager focused on Quality Safety & Risk at Acquired Brain Injury Ireland (2016-2021) and General Manager at Trinity Care (2015-2016). Whelan's leadership experience extends to various positions within the Neurological Alliance of Ireland, including Chairperson and Vice Chairperson.
