Julien Favreau is a characterization engineer at STMicroelectronics since July 2017, specializing in electro-optical characterization and wafer imaging test development. Previously, Julien served as an application development engineer, focusing on product validation testing and API development in Python. Prior experience includes a PhD at the CEA-Léti, investigating a new integrated optical platform for the mid-infrared, and temporary teaching at IUT1 UJF. Earlier roles also comprise an internship as a characterization engineer at ULIS, summer work at the National Physical Laboratory on quantum detection, and experience as a clean room worker at STMicroelectronics. Julien holds a PhD in Optics and Photonics from Université Paris-Saclay and an engineering degree in Physics from Grenoble INP - UGA, with additional education from Imperial College London.
