Vincenzo Marletta

Vincenzo Marletta is a seasoned engineering professional currently serving as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer at STMicroelectronics since September 2020. With an ongoing role as a Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Catania since 2012, Vincenzo focuses on the development of smart sensing solutions, particularly for monitoring volcanic ash, and has expertise in sensor design, energy harvesting, and smart multi-sensor architectures. Previous experience includes co-founding Smart Measurement Solutions, serving as a temporary researcher and lecturer at the University of Catania, and engaging in various research contracts and collaborations on innovative sensing technologies and wireless sensor networks. Vincenzo holds a PhD in Electronic, Automation, and Control of Complex Systems Engineering and a Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Catania.
