Steph Edusei

Steph joined St Oswald’s as Chief Executive in May 2020. Steph has a wealth of experience in senior roles in the local NHS, including managing hospital and ambulance services, CCG commissioning, and most recently as Chief Executive of Tyneside’s NHS Healthwatch service. This not only brings leadership experience within the local care sector, but also exposure to the wider system of the NHS in the North East.

Steph sits on a range of health and wellbeing boards in Gateshead, and contributes to system-wide development in the region. In June 2021, Steph was appointed as a Non-Executive Director at The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (starting August 2021) where her experience will help to support and constructively challenge the Trust.
