Melissa Coakley

Melissa Coakley is an accomplished academic professional with extensive experience in teaching and curriculum development in the fields of ethics and philosophy. Currently serving as an Associate Professor of Ethics at St. Petersburg College since 2015, Melissa Coakley also acts as the faculty advisor for the Clearwater Ethics in Action student organization. As an Ethics & Philosophy Subject Matter Expert at Career Education Corporation, responsibilities include designing online course content and assessments. Previous teaching roles include positions at Hillsborough Community College, The University of Tampa, and Pasco-Hernando State College. Melissa Coakley holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Philosophy, alongside a Master's and Bachelor's degree in the same field from the University of South Florida. Additional qualifications include a Primary Certificate in Logic Based Therapy and an MBA Certificate from Tulane University.
