Sarah Onions is a Clinical Director with extensive experience in medical governance and strategy in the field of palliative care. Sarah currently holds the position of Medical Quality Lead at HW ICB and Clinical End of Life Lead at Herefordshire and Worcestershire ICB. Sarah is also a member of the Midlands Clinical Senate and has previously worked as a Locum palliative care consultant. With a background as a GP and medical and cosmetic acupuncturist, Sarah has a diverse range of skills and expertise in the healthcare industry. Sarah holds a Master of Science in Palliative Care from the University of Warwick and a Doctor of Medicine and Surgery degree from the same university.

St Richard’s Hospice cares for adults with a serious progressive illness, improving their quality of life from diagnosis, during treatment and to their last days. We also support their loved ones. St Richard’s is an independent registered charity. The majority of income is from public donations; this includes gifts in Wills, one-off or regular donations, fundraising events and personal challenges, trading, legacies and grants from trusts and business sponsorship. Approximately a quarter of income is funded from the NHS.
