Debbie Turner has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Debbie is currently the Director Quality and Professional Practice at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital since March 2021. Prior to this, they were the Manager, Home and Community Care - Huron and Perth at South West Local Health Integration Network from 2020 to 2021.
Debbie also worked at Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance for several years, holding various positions. From 2017 to 2020, they were the Director, Quality and Risk, and from 2014 to 2017, they served as the Manager, Quality and Risk.
Before joining the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance, Debbie held multiple roles at the organization, including Corporate Lead, Patient Safety from 2011 to 2014 and Interim Manager Rehabilitation and Complex Continuing Care in 2011. Debbie began their career as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department in 1998 and worked in this role until 2011.
Additionally, Debbie worked as a Corporate Planning Project Assistant at Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance for a brief period in 2011. Debbie started their healthcare career at London Health Sciences Centre as a Registered Nurse in the Medicine department from 1993 to 1999.
Debbie Turner (she/her) earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Healthcare Quality from Queen's University, attending from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) at Ryerson University, studying from 2008 to 2011. Debbie also pursued Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse studies at Fanshawe College, graduating in the period from 1989 to 1992.
