Darren Jardine is a highly experienced microbiologist with a significant career spanning over two decades in various scientific roles. Currently serving as Principal Scientist in Microbiology at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne since November 2007, Darren previously held the position of Senior Scientist at the same institution. Before that, experience includes a role as Senior Scientist at the National Serology Reference Laboratory from March 2000 to November 2007 and as a Grade 2 Hospital Scientist at VIDRL in 1999-2000. Darren holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Microbiology from La Trobe University, where studies were completed from 1993 to 1997, as well as a Bachelor of Science (BSc) with Honours in Microbiology from the same university, obtained between 1985 and 1989. Early education was completed at Banyule High School from 1979 to 1984.
