Austin Reid

Austin Reid is an Advanced Manufacturing Instructor at St. Vrain Valley Schools since August 2022 and has been a Co-Owner at Diabase Engineering since September 2014, focusing on product development, CAD modeling, and prototyping. Previous roles include Mechanical Integration Lead at OHB System, where responsibilities included leading the MAIT team for a satellite constellation project, and Principal Investigator at Vanguard Space Technologies, overseeing solar array projects and systems engineering. Austin's early career involved positions such as Mechanical Engineer at Rasirc Inc. and Implant Sciences, as well as Mechanical Engineer II at REMEC, contributing to diverse projects in aerospace and advanced manufacturing. Austin holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from UC San Diego and a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Thermal Sciences from San Diego State University.
