Brandon Shaffer

Brandon Shaffer is an accomplished attorney and former legislator with extensive experience in legal and governmental affairs. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Legal and Governmental Affairs, Community Outreach, and P-TECH for St. Vrain Valley Schools since September 2015, Brandon has previously held significant positions including Chairperson of the Colorado Parole Board and Senator in the Colorado Senate, where leadership included presiding as Senate President and acting as Governor during a state emergency. Brandon's legal expertise is further demonstrated through roles at Grant, Grant & Goiran, LLP and Otten, Johnson, Robinson, Neff & Ragonetti, PC, specializing in real estate, commercial transactions, and estate planning. A former Lieutenant in the US Navy, Brandon holds a BA in Political Science from Stanford University and a JD from the University of Colorado.
