Samuel J. Gesten

Samuel J. Gesten is the current Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at STAAR Surgical. Prior to this, they were a Senior Associate at Sally & Fitch LLP from January 1994 to December 1998. From January 1991 to December 1994, they served as Deputy Attorney General (Civil Section) at the California Department of Justice. Gesten then became the EVP, General Counsel at Allergan, Inc. from June 2009 to October 2011. Most recently, they were the VP, Deputy General Counsel at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. from April 1998 to May 2009. Gesten began their career as an Associate at Thelen Marin Johnson Bridges from January 1987 to December 1991.

Gesten received their AB in Economics from Brandeis University and their JD from Boston University School of Law.
