Scott Barnes

Scott Barnes is currently the Chief Medical Officer at STAAR Surgical. Scott previously served in the US Army for 26 years, 4 of which were in the reserve. Scott is Airborne and Military Free Fall qualified, Navy SCUBA qualified, Flight Surgeon, Diving Medical Officer, SERE-C trained, and EFMB honor grad.

Scott Barnes began their educational career by earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wheaton College. Scott then went on to earn their Doctor of Medicine from Northwestern University - The Feinberg School of Medicine. After completing their medical studies, Barnes completed a residency in cornea and refractive surgery at Harvard Medical School.
