Janine Roy

Janine Roy is an accomplished professional in the field of bioinformatics and data analytics, currently serving as the Director of Bioinformatics and Data Analytics at Staburo GmbH since May 2018, after previously holding the position of Senior Bioinformatician. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at University Hospital Dresden from July 2009 to December 2016, where research focused on the challenges of differentiating between chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer, leading to significant insights into patient diagnosis. Janine also contributed to research on the applicability of network-based prediction methods in cancer outcome prediction during a Ph.D. candidacy at Technische Universität Dresden, where a PhD in Bioinformatics was earned in 2014. Additionally, Janine holds a Diplom (MSc) in Bioinformatics from Friedrich Schiller University Jena, obtained in 2009, and pursued studies at Zhejiang University and the University of Navarra.
