Martha Young

Martha Young has extensive work experience in various roles. Their most recent position is as the Chief of Staff at Stacks Open Internet Foundation since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Project Manager at Lions + Tigers from June 2021 to June 2022. Before that, Martha held the role of Director of Operations | Data & Insights Division at Tyler Technologies from May 2018 to May 2019. Martha also served as the Chief of Staff to the CEO at Socrata from August 2015 to April 2018. Martha has experience in the startup industry, having worked as the Executive Associate to the CEO at Techstars Startup Weekend and UP Global from May 2013 to July 2015. Martha also has a background in finance, having worked as an Executive Assistant at J.P. Morgan Private Bank from June 2010 to October 2012. Throughout their career, Martha has held various executive assistant positions in different organizations, including Company Confidential, Titan Health Corporation, and City of Sacramento (through Barnes Personnel). Their earliest role was as an Assistant to the CEO at AP Engines, Inc. from July 1999 to October 2001.

Martha Young completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Emmanuel College (Boston) between 1997 and 2000. Martha later pursued a Museum Studies Certificate Program at the University of Washington. In addition to their formal education, Martha has obtained certifications such as the Fundamentals of Data Analysis for Government from Socrata in January 2018, the Socrata Essentials Badge in January 2018, and the Inbound Certified from HubSpot Academy in September 2019.
