Ruben Stassen

Ruben Stassen has extensive experience in political support and community engagement. As a parliamentary assistant for Stefaan Van Hecke and Matti Vandemaele at Kamer van volksvertegenwoordigers Chambre des représentants since February 2023, Ruben contributes to legislative processes. In conjunction, Ruben serves as a municipal council member for Stad Tongeren since January 2013, and previously supported local Groen groups as a political supporter from July 2018 to February 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Assistant Manager at Beweging.net, where responsibilities encompassed non-profit and social economy knowledge management, and General Director at Responsible Young Drivers Vlaanderen, focusing on traffic safety initiatives. Ruben began a career in traffic safety coordination in 2010 with Fondation Tanguy Moreau de Melen Responsible Young Drivers - Secura Forum. Educationally, Ruben holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Thomas More University of Applied Sciences.
