Stephan Eder

EVP, Russia & CIS at Stada Group

Stephan Eder is currently the EVP of Russia & CIS at Stada Group. Stephan has held this position since February 2020. Prior to that, they were the CEO of Hexal AG and Country Head of Germany from June 2009 to February 2020.

Eder began their career at McKinsey & Company as an engagement manager from May 2001 to February 2005. Stephan then left to co-found 55pharma Drug Discovery & Development AG, a biotech startup, where they served as CFO from March 2005 to July 2007.

After leaving 55pharma, Eder joined Novartis International AG as Director of Corporate Strategy from August 2007 to May 2009. Stephan then returned to Sandoz, the generic pharmaceuticals division of Novartis, where they served as CEO of Hexal AG and Country Head of Germany from June 2009 to February 2020.

Eder holds a degree from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

Stephan Eder has a Doctor of Economics degree from the University of St.Gallen, a CEMS Master of International Management degree from the Université catholique de Louvain, and a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management from WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business).
