Nico Gütten

Nico Garcia is a Software Engineer with experience at Uber, contributing to the Uber Eats App. From May 2023 to August 2023, Nico developed the infrastructure for tracking Popular-Item Customizations and created an Engineering Requirement Document to streamline implementation. Additionally, robust storage mechanisms were designed using Docstore and Hive to manage data from Uber Eats orders, and sophisticated queries were crafted to analyze popularity metrics. Previously, from June 2022 to August 2022, Nico led the reintroduction of the Orders tab into the Uber Eats App across 478 cities, resulting in increased reorder taps. This role involved evaluating the feature's effectiveness through AB Testing and collaborating with teams in a fast-paced environment. Nico is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Texas A&M University, expected to graduate in 2024.
