Paksy Plackis-Cheng has a diverse work experience. Paksy is currently the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at Staex, where they are responsible for strategy, GTM, bizdev, sales, strategic alliances, and internationalization. Prior to that, they founded impactmania, an organization that creates original content and builds communities for value-aligned organizations. At UC Santa Barbara, they served as a Senior Fellow Research & Media and was the creator of strategic partner programs, developing a professional mentorship program for students in collaboration with scholars, practitioners, and change makers globally. Paksy also authored the book "Impact X, Transform Your Wisdom, Work, and Wealth into Meaningful Community Impact". Before that, they worked at Delta Advisory Group, LLC, providing coaching and general management services to Executive Directors. Paksy has also held leadership roles at the Santa Barbara Symphony, where they served as the President of the Board and later as the Interim Executive Director. Additionally, they have experience in strategic partner management at Openwave Systems and Banyan Systems Inc., and worked as a Project Manager at Interfoon Marketing Consultancy (IMC) and as a Project Coordinator at KAO.
Paksy Plackis-Cheng obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Faculty of Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, where they studied from 1992 to 1995. Prior to this, they attended Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences from 1991 to 1992, specializing in Personnel Policy and Human Resources. Later, from 2001 to 2003, they pursued studies at the Academy of Art University, focusing on Advertising and Interior Architecture.
