David Charles is a distinguished stage director and executive assistant with extensive experience in the theatre and entertainment industries. As a union member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society since January 2014, David has directed numerous successful productions and led large teams, earning the 2020 President's Award for Extraordinary Service. David has also held significant administrative roles at NBCUniversal, HBO, and various other organizations, where responsibilities included project management, communication, and safety oversight. Additionally, David has a background in acting instruction and stage management, showcasing a strong commitment to fostering talent and ensuring safe production environments. David holds a degree from Penn State University.

Our mission is to foster a national community of professional stage Directors and Choreographers by protecting the rights, health and livelihoods of all our Members. To facilitate the exchange of ideas, information and opportunities, while educating the current and future generations about the role of Directors and Choreographers and providing effective administration, negotiations and contractual support.
