The Founder and President of WholeLogic, Dr. Rob Keegan received his BS and DVM degrees from Washington State University (WSU) and completed a residency in veterinary anesthesia at Cornell University. A board certified anesthesiologist, Dr. Keegan was a faculty member at WSU for 32 years and is currently a Professor of Anesthesia and Simulation at the University of Arizona (UA). He has been actively involved with simulation-based education for much of his career.
He has authored numerous scientific papers and textbook chapters in the disciplines of veterinary anesthesia and simulation-based teaching. He was awarded two NSF SBIR Phase he grants dealing with the development and use of computer simulations in human nursing and respiratory therapy.
The Stage III simulation environment grew out of a desire to bring the benefits of immersive simulation training to veterinary education. Dr. Keegan and his team have used the Stage III simulation to teach veterinary anesthesia at the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine since 2016 and most recently at the UA College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Keegan’s key contributions to WholeLogic include his clinical expertise, programming background and simulation/teaching experience.
