Ray O’toole

Ray O'Toole is a Non-Executive Director at Stagecoach Group. Ray has previously held positions as a Non Executive Director at the British Transport Police Authority, Chief Executive at Essential Fleet Services Ltd, and Non Executive Director at the Office of Rail and Road.

O'Toole has over 25 years of experience in the transport industry. Ray began their career working in the rail industry before moving into bus and coach operations. In 2011, they were appointed as a Non Executive Director at the Office of Rail and Road, where they served for four years.

In 2015, O'Toole became the Chief Executive of Essential Fleet Services Ltd, a contract hire and maintenance business with national coverage. Ray successfully led a management buyout of the company, backed by private equity firm Endless LLP.

O'Toole has also served as a Non Executive Director at the British Transport Police Authority and is currently the Chair of the Health & Safety Committee.
