Jose Manuel Hidalgo López

Jose Manuel Hidalgo López is a computational biologist currently employed at STALICLA since October 2020. Previously, Jose served as a bioinformatician at the European Bioinformatics Institute, where tissue-specific eQTL prediction and integration of omics datasets were key responsibilities. Prior roles include project coordinator and senior QA tester at PTW, and a graduate research fellow at the Centre for Research in Agricultural Genomics, focusing on breeding and genotyping in strawberry populations. Early career experience includes bioinformatics work at Sequentia Biotech, centered on data analysis from Next Generation Sequencing experiments. Jose holds a Master of Science in Plant Genetics from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Universitat Rovira i Virgili.
