Laura Barbera

Laura Barbera is an experienced professional in both education and legal support roles. Currently serving as a Special Education Paraeducator at Stamford Public Schools since January 2021, Laura has a diverse background in teaching and support roles in various educational settings, including Bright Horizons Family Center and Mt. Pleasant Blythedale Children’s Hospital School. Prior experience includes significant roles as a Senior Paralegal at BNY Mellon Corp. and Citigroup, where responsibilities involved preparing SEC compliance documents, coordinating Board Meetings, and training paralegals. Laura holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Justice and Social Work from the State University of New York at Oswego and a Paralegal Certificate with distinction from Mercy University, along with a NYS Teaching Assistant Certification in Early Childhood Education.
