Kok-Wai Loy has a diverse work experience in the field of software testing and quality assurance. Kok-Wai started their career in 2004 as a Software Tester at eBworx Bhd, and later worked as a Software Tester at Microlink Solutions Berhad and Green Packet Berhad. In 2008, they joined Panasonic R&D Center Malaysia (PRDCM) as a Software Tester. In 2009, Kok-Wai joined IBM Global Business Services as a Testing Engineer, where they provided testing services for various clients and gained expertise in Jira, HP Quality Centre, Kenan CC, and IBM UNICA, among others. After that, they worked at T-Systems Malaysia as a Senior Quality Analyst, responsible for testing the desktop services offer to clients. In 2017, Kok-Wai joined Hitachi eBworx Sdn Bhd as a Manager, and in 2018, they became an Assistant QA Manager at Stampede Solution Sdn Bhd and Stampede Co., Ltd.

Kok-Wai Loy obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Campbell University in 2004, and also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology in 2004. In addition to their education, Loy has obtained several certifications including the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in June 2015, the ISTQB CTAL-TM certification from the ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in May 2014, and the ISTQB CTFL certification from the ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in October 2010.
