Ashley Benatar

Ashley Benatar is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in structured lending and mezzanine finance. Currently serving as the Head of Structured Lending and Mezzanine Finance for Commercial Clients at Standard Bank Group since September 2021, Ashley previously co-founded and led the Mezzanine Finance division at Ashburton Investments. Ashley's career includes roles as Co-Founder and Managing Director at Vantage Debt Capital Markets, Director in Investment Banking and Fixed Income Currencies at Renaissance Capital, as well as significant positions at Investec, Global Capital, Gensec Bank, and Grant Thornton LLP. Ashley holds multiple degrees, including an OPM from Harvard Business School and CA (SA) designation, complemented by a Bachelor of Commerce Honours and a Bachelor of Commerce from South African universities.
