James Cullen

James Cullen is an experienced professional in control and operations, currently serving as the Head of Control for Group Technology at Standard Bank Group since July 2003. In this role, James champions the Control Community of Practice, oversees the Domain Head of Control for Technology, and leads the embedded Control team within Group Technology. Previous positions include Head of Control for Group Technology and Operations, and Head of Control for Group Shared Services, among others at Standard Bank. James began the career at Capital One and the Capital One Nedcor Alliance, where roles included Manager and Manager of Operations. Academically, James holds a Master of Business Leadership (MBL) and a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics & Quantitative Management from the University of South Africa, alongside a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Cape Town.
