Stephan Westphal

Stephan Westphal has extensive experience in the banking and technology sectors, currently serving as the CIO of Business and Commercial Banking for Merchant Acquiring at Standard Bank Group since January 2012. In this role, Stephan manages a team overseeing various product streams and the entire product lifecycle. Previously, Stephan held the position of IT Project Manager, representing Standard Bank at the Payments Association of South Africa. Prior to Standard Bank, Stephan worked as a Project Manager at Itiam (Pty) Ltd, where responsibilities included managing Mini-ATM projects and establishing operational components for gaming solutions. Stephan's career also includes a significant tenure as Group IT Manager at DGB (Pty) Ltd, overseeing IT functions across multiple international branches. Education includes matriculation from King Edward VII School in Houghton.
