Stephen Scott Lovell

Stephen Scott Lovell is currently the Head of Debt Financing Solutions and Head of Corporate Financing Solutions for Africa Regions at Standard Bank Group, positions held since March 2019. Prior to this, Stephen served as the Head of Corporate Financing Solutions for East Africa at Stanbic Bank Kenya from November 2016 to February 2019. Stephen's extensive experience in corporate financing includes roles such as Head of Diversified Lending & Leverage Finance for Southern and Central Africa at Standard Bank Group and a managerial position at Stanbic IBTC. Early in Stephen's career, roles at Standard Bank as a manager and then as a graduate trainee provided foundational knowledge in structuring and executing senior and mezzanine finance transactions. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Business Science degree in Actuarial Science and Finance from the University of Cape Town, completed in 2008, and attended St. Andrew's College from 1999 to 2003.
