Syed Asim Hussain

Syed Asim Hussain is an experienced banking professional with a robust background in transaction banking within the Middle East and Africa. Currently serving as Head of Transaction Banking, Sales for the Middle East at Standard Bank Group since October 2015, Syed has also held key roles including COO for South and Central Africa and Head of Transaction Banking in Namibia. Prior to this, Syed worked at Standard Chartered Bank from 2006 to 2015, where positions included Director of Regional Cash Product and Liability & RWA Manager, as well as Associate Director for Sales & Business Effectiveness in Transaction Banking Africa. Syed's educational qualifications include an MBA in Marketing from the Institute of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and History from Bahauddin Zakariya University.
