Benjamin Hung

President, International at Standard Chartered Bank

Ben was appointed Standard Chartered’s Chief Executive Officer for Asia in January 2021. He sits on the Group’s Management Team and is the Chairman of Standard Chartered Bank (China) Limited.

Ben joined Standard Chartered in 1992 and has held a number of senior management positions spanning corporate, commercial and retail banking. Prior to the current role, he was Regional CEO for Greater China & North Asia, and CEO of Retail Banking, and Wealth Management business globally. He is based in Hong Kong and has international banking experience in the United Kingdom and in Canada.

Ben is a member of the Hong Kong Chief Executive’s Council of Advisers on Innovation and Strategic Development, the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee, the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited’s Board of Directors and the General Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. He was previously the chairman of the Hong Kong Association of Banks, a member of the Financial Services Development Council, a board member of the Hong Kong Airport Authority and the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, and a Council Member of the University of Hong Kong.
