Desmond Chan

Desmond Chan is a seasoned professional in risk management and cybersecurity, currently serving as the Head of Risk Management for Core Infrastructure, Network and Integration Services at Standard Chartered Bank since October 2014. In this role, Desmond leads the Regulatory and Audit Management function, overseeing information and cyber security assurance engagements in over 60 countries. Prior experience includes positions at CIMB as Assistant General Manager of IT Risk and Assurance, where Desmond led IT risk management and audit functions, and a Regional Manager role at Computer Sciences Corporation, managing numerous IT audit engagements. Additionally, Desmond held senior roles at Ernst & Young and KPMG, focusing on IT risk advisory, audits, and system implementations. Desmond holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Computing Science from the University of Staffordshire.
