Syed Muhammad Hussain is currently serving as Manager Technology Risk, Governance & Control at Standard Chartered Bank since November 2022, where responsibilities include leading IT governance, conducting assurance reviews, and fostering collaborations with regulatory entities. Previously, Syed held the position of Chief Information Security Officer (interim) at Bank Alfalah Limited from May 2021 to November 2022, alongside working as an Information System Auditor, focusing on process and technology review and compliance with regulatory observations. Prior experience also includes serving as an Information System Auditor at U Microfinance Bank Limited, engaging in comprehensive audits across various departments to ensure compliance with standards and identify improvement areas. Syed holds a Master's degree in Information Security from NED University of Engineering and Technology, expected completion in February 2024, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from UBIT - University of Karachi, earned in 2020.
