Mike Tumilty

Mike was appointed as Chief Operating Officer in March 2019. He is responsible for all aspects of Operations and Technology across our company, including the management of our relationships with major outsource providers. Mike also has overall responsibility for Platform Operations in the UK.

Mike joined Standard Life as a graduate trainee in 1994. Before his current role, he previously had senior roles in Mutual Funds Operations, Change Management and Investment Operations. He was appointed to the Board of Standard Life Investments as Executive Director of Operations in August 2010, a role which expanded with the merger of Standard Life and Aberdeen Asset Management in 2017.

Mike is also a former professional football referee, having taken charge of 60 Scottish Premier League games during 10 years at the top level of Scottish football.
