Tomas Havel

Tomas Havel is an accomplished actuary with extensive experience in finance and risk management within the insurance and reinsurance sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Actuarial Reporting & Analysis at Standard Life Ireland since April 2019, Tomas leads actuarial activities for the European business, overseeing critical tasks such as Solvency II compliance, capital management, and internal model implementation. Prior to this role, Tomas held significant positions at AXA Global Re and AXA Czech Republic & Slovakia, focusing on global reinsurance practices and actuarial responsibilities across both life and non-life insurance. Tomas began the actuarial career as an Actuarial Specialist at Aviva, where responsibilities included product development and actuarial modeling. Tomas holds a Master’s Degree in Financial and Insurance Mathematics from Charles University and a high school diploma with a focus on French Studies and Natural Sciences.
