George Almeida

George Almeida is an experienced IT professional currently serving as the Director of Operations & IT at Standard Textile since February 2021, overseeing the delivery of IT infrastructure and operations across the company while managing relationships with external partners. Previously, Almeida held the role of Director of Infrastructure North America at Prysmian Group from January 2007 to February 2021, where responsibilities included managing comprehensive IT infrastructure, including WAN/LAN, servers, security, and disaster recovery for numerous manufacturing and distribution facilities. Almeida also served as the Information Technology Infrastructure Manager, providing support for extensive server and end-user computing environments. Almeida holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Thomas More University, earned between 1995 and 1998.
