Airworthiness Engineer - Principal at StandardAero

Zachary Mellinger has a diverse range of work experience, including roles in the aerospace and manufacturing industries. Zachary is currently working as an Airworthiness Engineer - Principal at StandardAero since April 2023. Before that, they were a Liaison Engineer III at Boeing from February 2022 to March 2023. Prior to their time at Boeing, Zachary worked at StandardAero as a Principal Engineer from March 2018 to February 2022. Zachary also has experience as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Smalley Manufacturing Company, where they focused on mechanical design and engineering, primarily supporting the food industry. Zachary began their career as a Liaison Engineer II at L-3 Communications from June 2012 to January 2015. Zachary also worked as a self-employed 3-D Modeler, providing inventors with 3-D renderings and technical drawings, and as a Graduate Assistant at UNLV. Additionally, they worked as an Engineer Technician at Army Research Lab in 2009. Overall, Zachary brings a strong background in engineering and design to their current role.

Zachary Mellinger completed their education at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, where they earned both a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Zachary started their undergraduate studies in 2005 and finished in 2010. Zachary then pursued a higher level of education and completed their Master's degree from 2010 to 2012.

In addition to their academic achievements, Zachary also obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. In 2010, they obtained the "Fundamentals of Engineering" certification from the Nevada State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. In 2011, they became a "Solidworks Professional" through the accredited institution Solidworks. Most recently, in 2015, Zachary obtained "Boeing Structural Repairs - Levels I & II" certification from Boeing.
