Michael Gonzales

Michael Gonzales is a seasoned research and development professional with extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Director of R&D Systems Integration at Fluidigm Corporation since June 2013, Michael has held various roles within the company, including Senior Scientist and Senior Product Applications Specialist. Prior experience includes positions as Assistant Project Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow at UC Davis, where research focused on the regulation of the epigenetic factor MeCP2 and its impact on gene expression. Earlier in Michael's career, postdoctoral research and a graduate research assistantship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison involved studying signal transduction pathways related to a novel poly(A) polymerase. Michael holds a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of California, Davis.
