Dr. Michelle McMurry-Heath is the President and CEO of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), the world’s largest biotechnology organization.

BIO represents nearly 1,000 life sciences companies and organizations from 30 countries. The organization’s mission is to support companies that discover and deploy scientific breakthroughs that improve human health, environmental stewardship, and sustainable agriculture.

Since assuming leadership of BIO on June 1, 2020, Dr. McMurry-Heath has positioned BIO as a leading champion of scientific innovation and bio-revolution, which aims to use technological breakthroughs to cure patients, protect the climate, and nourish humanity.
