Sam Shen serves as the Vice Chair of Clinical Operations & Quality and Director of the Innovation Fellowship at Stanford University School of Medicine's Department of Emergency Medicine, along with holding the position of Clinical Professor in the same department. Additionally, Sam Shen is the Associate Chief Quality Officer and Patient Safety Officer at Stanford Health Care, and previously served as the Medical Director for Emergency Medicine at Stanford University/Stanford Health Care. Prior roles include Chief of Emergency Medicine at Morton Hospital within the Steward Health Care System and Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at St. Luke's Hospital in the Southcoast Health System. Sam Shen completed an Emergency Medicine Residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard and holds an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles - The Anderson School of Management.
