David Johnson is a seasoned editor and cofounder with extensive experience in literary and philosophical writing. Currently serving as cofounder and coeditor of The Raven since October 2021 and as deputy editor at Stanford Social Innovation Review since November 2016, David has previously held senior editorial roles at prominent publications such as Al Jazeera America and Boston Review. With a solid academic background, including a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Stanford University, David’s expertise spans across multiple formats and platforms in journalism and editorial work, highlighted by roles as associate editor for the American Philosophical Association and research editor for San Francisco magazine.
