Amir M. Kamel

Amir M. Kamel currently serves as a Teaching Fellow Coordinator, Instructor, and Visiting Scholar at Stanford University since October 2022. Kamel has held various academic positions at King's College London since September 2013, including Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer in the School of Security Studies, Fellow at the Institute of Middle Eastern Studies, and Assistant Professor/Lecturer in Defence, Security, and International Studies. Additional experience includes fellowships with the Higher Education Academy and visiting scholar roles at the University of San Francisco, University of Hawaii at Manoa, and Georgetown University. Kamel's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Political Science from King's College London, along with a Master of Science in International Relations from the University of Bristol and a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice in Higher Education. Professional experience also encompasses roles as an Associate Economist at Roubini Global Economics and a Steering Committee Member for the International Network of Emerging Nuclear Specialists.
