Chaitanya Shah

Chaitanya Shah is an experienced professional in the field of extended realities and interaction software engineering. Currently serving as a Technical Advisor for the DESIGN 284 course at Stanford University since April 2025, Chaitanya provides guidance on emerging technology use cases in XR. In addition, Chaitanya holds the position of Senior Interaction Software Engineer at Intuitive Surgical, starting in June 2024. Previously, Chaitanya contributed to Skyryse as a Senior HMI Product Developer and HMI Engineer from April 2021 to June 2024, and at Emblematic Group as a Creative Technologist from November 2017 to April 2021, where innovations in XR experiences were developed. Early career experiences included a Developer Internship focusing on automated production pipelines and a Graduate Research Assistant role at the University of Southern California, where data analysis and visualization were emphasized. Chaitanya holds a Master's degree in Multimedia and Creative Technology from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from G.H. Patel College of Engineering and Technology.
