Iris Zhang is a PhD Candidate in Sociology at Stanford University, focusing on race- and class-stratified patterns of gentrification, displacement, and mobility outcomes under the guidance of advisor Jackelyn Hwang. Previously, Iris served as a Research and Program Associate at the Brennan Center for Justice, where responsibilities included policy research on campaign finance reform, content creation, litigation support, and advocacy efforts. Earlier experiences include roles as a Statistics grader at The Wharton School, a Research Intern at the Brennan Center, a Statistics/Economics Intern at the New York Attorney General's Civil Rights Bureau, and a Research Intern at the Institute for Women's Policy Research. Iris holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in Sociology and multiple minors.
