Luisa Rapport

Luisa Rapport is a seasoned professional in emergency management and public communications, currently serving as the Director of Emergency Communications and Media Relations at Stanford University since May 2022, after progressing from the Associate Director role. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President at Response LifeSafety from 2005 to October 2024, focusing on comprehensive emergency management services. Luisa has extensive experience with the Santa Clara County Fire Department, where roles included Information Specialist and Interim Public Information Officer from May 2017 to April 2022, managing community engagement, public information planning, and social media. Luisa’s career began with the State of California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection as a firefighter from May 1999 to April 2002, followed by a position as Firefighter/Engineer at Santa Clara County Fire Department from April 2002 to March 2008. Academic credentials include a Master’s Degree in Crisis/Emergency and Disaster Management and a Bachelor's Degree in Professional Studies from California State University, Long Beach.
