Sergio Martín Álvarez is a KIPAC fellow at Stanford University since September 2022 and has extensive experience in astrophysics and scientific outreach. Since April 2013, Sergio has been involved in outreach programs, delivering talks on topics such as modern physics, the evolution of science, and the history of the universe. Previous roles include postdoctoral fellow at Churchill College, University of Cambridge, and researcher in astrophysics and cosmology at the University of Cambridge. Sergio also served as a Balzan Visitor Fellow at the Institut d'Astrophysique de Paris and completed a DPhil in Astrophysics at the University of Oxford. Additionally, leadership experience includes founding DivCien and various committee roles at Christ Church, Oxford. Sergio's academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Advanced Physics from the University of Valencia and a Physics degree from the same institution, complemented by studies at the University of Leeds.
