Wayne Maines

Wayne Maines currently serves as the Director of Health, Safety, and Sustainability for R&DE at Stanford University, where responsibilities include overseeing a budget of over $350 million and managing a $3 billion asset portfolio. Previous experience includes holding the position of Vice President of Security and Risk Management at Enchambered Productions, and serving as Vice Chancellor of Safety and Operations at Austin Community College District, where efforts focused on the health and safety of over 50,000 students. Wayne also served as Executive Director of Safety, Health Services, Transportation, and Security for the University of Maine System, transforming compliance across multiple institutions, and as Corporate Manager of Health, Safety, and Training for Schenectady International Inc., managing oversight for international chemical production facilities. Earlier career highlights include directing the Institute for Safety and Health Training at West Virginia University after completing a Doctor of Education in Safety Management/Education at West Virginia University, along with degrees from Cornell University and Fulton-Montgomery Community College.
