David Checoury

David has thirty years of combined experience in Private Equity, Wealth Management, M&A and Asset Management.

David joined Stanhope Capital in 2018 after having spent fifteen years as a Director and Partner in Paris of UOB Global Capital – an affiliate of United Overseas Bank of Singapore. He developed its institutional clientele in Europe and was in charge of its key institutional clients, including sizeable Family Offices. He also developed the firm’s Private Equity and Real Estate Private Equity platforms.

David was previously Head of Private Banking at UBP, Paris.

David began his career at BNP Paribas in the corporate Finance department. He then went on to join Banque Arjil (Lagardère Group) in Paris in 1990 in the M&A department reporting directly to the Boards Members of the Bank.

David holds an MBA from INSEAD and an Engineering degree “Ingénieur Civil des Mines” (French Grande Ecole). Additionally, he graduated in Japanese from both Sony language School and Interlink language in Tokyo. He is fluent in French, English and Spanish, has a good knowledge of Hebrew and Japanese and speaks some Arabic and Italian.
